Organic Blue Body Scrub
Organic Blue has a simple ethos -- to care and inspire. This is uniquely
achieved by creating wonderful products that combine traditional philosophies
and ingredients from around the world.
Cleanse, moisturise and nourish the body. Uplift, stimulate and soothe
the senses. Still, refresh and inspire the mind.
For
purity and environmental reasons, where possible, organic quality plants
and herbs are used. Many products are also certified organic by the Soil
Association. All products to date are registered with both the UK Vegetarian
Society and Vegan Society.
In the pursuit for natural purity, the stylish bodycare range has been
refreshingly created without the use of synthetic fragrances and artificial
colouring while minimising the use of synthetic ingredients. Formulations
combine ayurvedic herbal infusions, including the wonderous Gotu Kola
herb used for centuries in India, with specifically chosen essential and
base oils resulting in deliciously effective products with natural scents.
Ideal all over scrub using natural peach kernel powder as the exfoliating agent to help remove dirt and dead skin.
Exfoliation is extremely helpful in clearing away old skin cells to allow softer newer skin to become exposed, while also stimulating increased blood flow to further nourish the skin allowing it to 'glow' and look more youthful. Thus, this invigorating Body Scrub is an ideal exfoliating shower lotion. We use an infusion of traditional Ayurvedic herbs including anti-bacterial Neem to help tonify the skin. A suspension of peach kernel powder acts as the exfoliating agent.

Organic Blue
For most of us, it's near impossible to use organic beauty products regularly
because they're so hard to find. Ashwin Mehta, managing director of the
Organic Blue body line, is here to help -- his range is on sale in supermarkets
and he plans to make it even more widely available. 'My ambition is to
sell it everywhere, at the same price as non-organic mass market toiletries,'
he says. But he doesn't have to do too much -- it's already on sale at
large ... stores and isn't overpriced...
Inspired by a lack of cheap organic grooming products, Mehta founded
the company in 1998 and has begun to make profit only this year. Producing
organic products is difficult because the pure ingredients require careful
coaxing and the sources are expensive. 'I did it through a combination
of taking time to source ingredients at good prices, dealing directly
with growers and settling for no profit. Now it's getting easier because,
as we start to buy in bulk and fulfil our mass market goals, we buy at
cheaper prices.'
Mehta's drive is fuelled by the tradition of Jainism (an ancient philosophy
based on respect for life). 'Organic agriculture minimises pollution.
It's this thinking -- that all life is mutually dependent -- that I want
people to have the opportunity to follow.' The range includes hair care,
vapour/bath blends, bath/massage oils, a shower gel, and a body cream.

Next up was Organic Blue Natural Philosophy shampoo.... I fell in love
with the fragrance immediately, the geranium and cloves made a wonderful
combination. It lathered well and the aroma was reminiscent of a spa treatment
on the hair - the smell of cleanliness. The lavender scent of the conditioner...,
had a cooling effect and left the hair revitalised. A magnificent product.
