Champion 2000+ juicer
"The most reliable workhorse in my kitchen is the Champion Juicer,
which really does live up to its name -- it's fast, efficient, easy to
clean and is worth every penny it cost me all those years ago!"
-- Susan Clark, Health Journalist
The Champion Juicer is the answer to every juicing problem
The Champion uses the 'mastication' process to chew the fibres and break
up all the cells of vegetables and fruits.
This gives you more enzymes, vitamins and trace minerals.
The Champion therefore produces a darker, richer coloured juice with a
sweeter, richer, more full-bodied flavour.
You can see and taste the difference
The Champion Juicer extracts more goodness from fruits and vegetables,
producing a more full-bodied flavour and richer colour than that of a
conventional centrifugal-type juicer. This is true, whether it is carrot
juice, mixed vegetable juice or straight chlorophyll juice such as parsley
juice or turnip leaf juice.
A Champion is Simple to Use
- Designed for simplicity
- Requires no nuts, bolts, screws or clamps to assemble
- The floating cutter just slides on or off the shaft
- A quick half turn, and the body locks on or releases for removal
- It's so simple and all the parts are easy to clean!

Why Juice?
Juicing helps you make healthier eating choices.
Research studies have repeatedly shown a direct relationship between
diet and health. In present times, an increasing number of doctors and
healthcare practitioners are discussing how to decrease the risk of illness through proper diet. Current recommendations
are to increase the intake of fibre and complex carbohydrates, and decrease
the intake of fat, cholesterol, sugar and sodium.
Over the years, our diet has become increasingly filled with highly processed,
convenience foods. Many of these contain calories in the form of fats
and sugars, and to which large amounts of sodium have been added to enhance
flavour.
You have the opportunity to make changes in your diet and increase your
intake of fibre and complex carbohydrates. Juicers are designed to make
the preparation of fruits, vegetables and grains convenient and easy.
You can process fruits and vegetables in their prime and quickly prepare
them to fit your family's needs and menu plans. You can control the addition
of salt and sugar and make healthy choices in the types of fats you use.
Whole grains, used for breakfast as cereal and throughout the day in
baked products, are a wonderful source of fibre and energy.
The more you use your Juicer, the easier it becomes to make healthier
eating choices.
Types of Juicer
There are various types of juicer on the market. Most of the cheaper
ones are either Manual or Centrifugal juicers, and the expensive ones
tend to be Automated or Nose-Cone Pressure juicers. Juice Presses are
also available, which when used in combination with a juicer, successfully
and efficiently extract almost all the juices and nutrients. Blenders
are often used in conjunction with a juicer to produce cocktails, smoothies,
soups and baby foods.
Manual Juicers
Manual juicers use a handle to force the produce into a chamber with
a coarse-feed screw, where the juice and pulp are separated.
The Green Leaf, Health Fountain and Porkert juicers fall into this category.
Centrifugal Juicers
Centrifugal juicers use a grater or cutting disc to break up the plant
fibres and cell walls, and then spin out the juice by centrifugal action,
forcing the pulp against a high-speed revolving basket, and the juice
through the holes in the basket. The Juice Master and Waring range fall
into this category.
Masticating Juicers
Nose-cone pressure juicers break up the produce and force the resulting
pulp into a nose-cone with a narrow opening. As pressure builds up in
the cone, the juice is forced out through a screen, while the pulp is
ejected through the opening. This is far more efficient than centrifugal
action.
The Champion and Suco, both 'masticating' juicers, which break up the
fruit and vegetables using a stainless steel cutter fall into this category.
Juice Presses
A juice press is perfect in combination with a juicer. A juice press
can reduce even hard root vegetables to something resembling a piece of
damp cardboard in a few minutes. This method of pulping and then hydraulic
pressing is used commercially, on a larger scale, and is generally accepted
as the only way to successfully and efficiently extract all the juices
and nutrients.
The Health Stream falls into this category.
Blenders
A blender is ideal in combination with a juicer. A blender has a stainless
steel cutting blade rotating at up to 22,000 revolutions per minute, and
tough enough to crush ice for cocktails. The Vita-Mix range falls into
this category.
