Official grand opening of Detox Your World's new shop

Friday 24th February 2006, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, UK -- Pioneer of the raw food revolution Shazzie performs the official opening ceremony for her first real shop "Detox Your World", in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

Standing shivering in the biting cold February wind, a happy Shazzie pronounced to her guests, staff and the press "With this ribbon, I thee open. God bless this shop and all who buy in her!" As she cut the green ribbon, everyone cheered and raised their raw chocolate smoothies to the air. This would be the only toast in sight, because this is a shop for raw foodists! As the raw food revolution gains momentum, with fans of this diet including Woody Harrelson, Demi Moore, Donna Karan and Alicia Silverstone, Shazzie claims she's investing in the future health of the UK. She states that her biggest wish is to help educate the country in raw food nutrition, because of its dramatic ability to turn lives around -- as it did to her.

After the toast, everyone then rushed inside to the raw food gourmet buffet which included raw chocolate extravaganzas and more. Shazzie told the journalists "I'm so happy that people can finally come and see what we're all about. This shop is already having a positive effect on the general public". When asked why she chose Great Yarmouth for her first shop, and not somewhere more centrally, she answered in true Shazzie style -- frank, real and to the point: "My family live here and they all work for me! It wouldn't be logical to have it where I live in Cambridge, as I'd have to move everyone a hundred miles to get the same great staff!" She then added that most people she knows go to Great Yarmouth for weekend breaks, and as the shop is on a road that leads to many holiday sites, she believes their passing trade will be quite high.

Close friend and author of Clear Skin, Karen Jessett said "The fantastic new Detox Your World shop will provide a solid, and very real, base from which people can order the unique health-giving products offered by the Detox Your World team." This was echoed by David Wolfe, co-author of Shazzie's book Naked Chocolate and American raw food guru: "How you invest your money is your vote for the future. A vote for Shazzie's lovely shop is a vote for the best future ever!"

Having written three raw food books, and owning an online shop, this is a logical next step for Shazzie. "We needed to move offices as our business grew so large last year", she says "So I was delighted when we found these new offices have space for a shop. We have a range of juicers, blenders, dehydrators and raw foods on display, alongside our other health-enhancing products. My business is about healthy living for all, and the more raw food people eat, the better."
