Living Facial Cleanser
A wonderful facial cleanser that leaves your face feeling fresh and uplifted.
It gently and effectively cleanses the skin, removing any dirt or makeup, without
affecting the natural balance of your skin.
Its unique blend of organic cold-pressed oils, organic essential oils and organic
floral waters, each carefully selected for their anti-microbial and anti-fungal
properties, will leave your skin deeply cleansed and also nourished with antioxidants,
vitamin E and essential fatty acids.
Suitable for all skin types and especially beneficial to mature and teenage
skin. Free from alcohol, parabens, preservatives, synthetic additives, etc.
Sold in a bottle with spray atomizer.
Ingredients include:
- Organic Witch Hazel Floral Water: It has fantastic cleansing
and astringent qualities, without drying the skin. High in anti-oxidants
and will known as anti-agent agent. Particularly effective on teenage
skin. Its anti-inflammatory properties are good for reducing redness
and sore swollen skin.
- Organic Tea Tree Floral Water: An antifungal, antiseptic, antiviral
and antibacterial which is highly cleansing and purifying. It also helps
to clear spots and pimples.
- Organic Juniper Floral Water: Effectively cleanses and detoxifies
the skin. Especially good for acne, unblocking pores, congested skin
and water retention.
- Organic Cold-pressed Jojoba Oil: It combines with the skin’s
own sebum. It gently unclogs pores and helps to free embedded dirt and
grime. It is a natural anti-bacterial and helps to reduce skin inflammation.
- Organic Cold-pressed Wheatgerm Oil: Rich in natural antifungal
and antibacterial properties. High in vitamin E. It has excellent antioxidant
properties which helps improve one’s overall complexion.
- Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil: A natural antibacterial
agent with good cleansing properties. Helps to detoxify congested skin.
It is a good overall skin tonic and has the added bonus of helping to
reduce fine lines.
- Organic Lemon Essential Oil: Helps to enliven complexion by
removing dead skin cells. It has a good cleansing action and is naturally
antifungal and antibacterial.
- Organic Eucalyptus Essential Oil: Helps to clear congested
skin, spots and pimples.

How it all started
For many years, we searched for a really good moisturizer, that would be made
with ingredients as fresh and as close to nature as possible and that would
be free from any chemical or toxic ingredients.
Unable to find anything suitable, we started experimenting in the kitchen and
making our own creams. Eventually we came up with what we believe is one of
the purest range of skin care products available.
What distinguishes Raw Gaia is that we use only 100% organic, raw and vegan
ingredients such as raw cocoa (cacao) butter, cold pressed oils and essential
oils. Importantly, our products are made following a process that avoids temperatures
beyond 40°C. In this way, the life force of the ingredients and all their
antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, etc., are retained. All these nutrients are
then available to nourish your skin, without leaving any surface residues.
The importance of raw
Simply put, the main benefit of a raw, living skin care product is that your
body nourishes from the existing life force of the ingredients. In contrast,
subjecting to high temperatures destroy most of this living energy.
Raw ingredients provide additional benefits to the skin through their:
Antioxidants: Antioxidants help to keep the skin supple and beautiful
by neutralizing free radicals. Free radical exposure eventually leads to hidden
inflammation and eventually, wrinkles and ageing skin.
Minerals: These occur naturally in our bodies and are found in our most
common foods. Sulphur for example is essential to make the skin soft and elastic
since it is an essential component of all connective tissues.
Vitamins: They are beneficial to damaged and distressed skin. Vitamin
C for example, is especially useful as an anti-wrinkle remedy for under-eyes
skin.
Omega 6 Fatty Acids: Present in oils such as primrose and borage seed
oils, they have been shown to gradually improve eczema and moisturize dry, cracking
and/or scaling skin.
What purity really means
Several leading alternative medicine practitioners and nutritionists suggest
that you should only apply on your skin what you would be willing to eat. The
reason behind this is that it will end up in the body tissues, either way.
Raw Gaia’s creams, lip balms and moisturisers are so pure that you could
in fact, eat them. (We’ve done that ourselves as a test!) We don’t
recommend you do that since they are not very palatable and the stomach may
not be used to it, but our skin care products are certainly safe to eat since
they are only made with raw, vegan and organic ingredients.
Evidently, our products do not contain any nasty petrochemicals, artificial
colourants and parfums, glycols, lauryl sulphates, parabens, preservatives,
synthetic additives, bulking agents or hidden ingredients. Because we avoid
any heat treatment, the oils in our products also do not contain any toxic transfatty
acids.
Raw Gaia's products are certified vegan by The Vegan Society. Our products
have not been tested on animals. In addition, we have carefully screened our
suppliers to ensure they do not carry out tests on animals either.
