Certified organic in Canada for sale in the EU

Our whole raw hemp seeds are certified organic in Canada for sale in the EU. It's unusual to find genuine Canadian hemp seeds, but we found them long ago and they are the only ones we sell to you. Canadian hemp seeds are superior in taste size and protein quantity.

To get the most nutrition out of these seeds, we recommend that you soak them in water overnight, rinse them and then allow them to sprout for one to three days. Make sure you rinse them two to three times a day and keep them in in a place where water can't pool at the bottom. Then you can use them in your preferred way, either by making mylk or eating the hemp seed sprouts straight. If you are a raw foodist or just into superfoods, you will probably love these Canadian raw hemp seeds more than any others you've ever tried.

Our whole raw hemp seeds are certified organic. They are fantastic for using with our nut mylk bag or in any blender where you'll strain the husks away before drinking.

Hemp seeds are are rich in protein, vitamins and minerals. Hemp seeds are the only edible seeds with gamma-linolenic acid (GLA).

Hemp seeds are a highly nutritious source of protein, and are better tasting and more digestible than the soya bean.

About hemp

There are over 3 million edible plants on our planet, and no other single plant source can compare with the nutritional value of hemp seeds. Both the complete protein and the essential oils contained in hemp seeds are in ideal ratios for human nutrition. 65% of the protein content is in the form of globulin edestin, so that it can actually be used by the body in its raw state, unlike that in soya beans, which have to be cooked or sprouted. The word edestin comes from the Greek "edestos," meaning edible.

You love itHemp is one of the purest, most complete plants on Earth. Its uses are many and varied; of particular value to humans are the nutritional and healing properties of Hemp seed and its oil.

Hemp grows almost anywhere and requires no pesticides or fertiliser. The plant is good both for the soil and the atmosphere. The potential for Hemp is vast - including sustainable bio-mass (power) and bio-diesel (fuel).

Hemp also makes an excellent source of textile and paper. The fibres are long and very strong, making the most beautiful fabric and paper. Many of the world's most famous historical works are written on hemp paper.

Hemp seeds are very delicious. If you've never had hemp seed nuts before, you're in for a real treat. They combine the best qualities of pine nuts and cashews at a fraction of the price. Hemp seeds contain no THC, the psychoactive substance in marijuana, so you won't get high on them, and your granny can't disapprove.

Hemp seed mylk

You can access the full nutritional impact of the hemp seed by following this simple recipe:

Soak your hemp seeds for 24 hours in distilled water with a few organic almonds
Drain, rinse and blend in a blender with a little distilled water
Strain through a cloth or sieve

This mylk is now ready to drink and should be consumed immediately, although it will keep for 48 hours refrigerated. It will combine well with all fruits and vegetables. You can make it thicker by using less water. Try adding maca, cacao, purple corn extract, agave nectar and/or pure synergy to the mix before straining. It's wonderful.

Ancient foods

We're really into ancient foods here, knowing that we need to hear their messages to progress beyond the state we find ourselves in at the moment. Hemp seed oil contains 54.4% linolenic acid (Omega-3), 18.3% linoleic acid (Omega-6), 2-5% gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and 1-2% stearidonic acid; and is one of only four oils to do so, it's the cheapest of the four, too.

Hemp's ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 fatty acids is about 4:1 which mirrors the primitive diet the human race evolved on for 2.5 million years. This ratio of fatty acids is worth researching on the Internet. Due to UK law, we can't tell you more.

Why raw?

Hemp seed oil in its raw, unrefined state, has many benefits, which we're not allowed by law to tell you about. We suggest you look it up on the Internet. Once oil is processed and heated, many benefits can be lost. Cooking oil (ie: frying, roasting, etc) destroys the nutrients and makes the oil undesirable for a clean body.

These seeds are viable and and can be used for sprouting, but not for sowing. They are THC-free, but it's still not legal for you to sow them without a license, so please don't try.
