1 cup of grated mixed vegetables – we selected a mix of onion, garlic, celery, mushrooms and red peppers – although you can pick your favourite vegetables and make your own twist on the burgers
¼ cup of ground Flax Seeds
½ cup of Walnut Halves
1 tablespoon of Chia Seeds
½ cup of Sunflower Seeds
½ tablespoon of Sesame Seeds
1 teaspoon of Himalayan Pink Salt
Dash of Pepper
Except your vegetables, put all the other ingredients into a food processor and blitz until they come together to a paste. You may choose to have it smooth or leave it rustic for texture.
Place the paste into a bowl and add to the bowl your vegetables.
Now stir everything in the bowl together to a consistent mix.
Now take your some of the burger mix with your hands and create into burger shapes. You can make the burgers as little or large as you like, but make sure it is not as much as 1 cm thick for the purpose so the whole burger can get an even dehydrate.
Place your burgers on a dehydrator at 42 Celsius and dehydrate for approx 7 hours or until you can see the burgers have become firm.
Serve with some fresh tomato and lettuce and to substitute the traditional bun try it with our Superfood Crackers.
